I am a filmmaker interested in unfamiliar ways of storytelling. I often focus on unfamiliar subjects or subjects that might need to be explored in a new way. I am also a teacher and I strive to validate my students' stories and lives, even though they may be the unseen or unknown stories.
I think the essential answer to this question is: ways of seeing. If we only look at something in the most common of ways, then everything stays the same, but if we look with fresh eyes or from another angle, we see differently. From new seeing comes new visions, new possibilities and new actions.
