I believe that art is a simple and powerful way for oppressed women to express themselves freely, which is one reason why i'm excited to be part of Imagining Ourselves. Recently graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in my home town of Cairo, Egypt.
i'm passionate about women’s issues and specifically the stories of oppressed women from around the world. In light of the current conflict in the Middle East, i'm especially interested in the experiences of Muslim women living in western countries.
i hope that this project will generate positive change first, by changing ourselves and then, by changing our relationships with one and another.
