My I'm passionate about:
Many years ago, when the Literacy Movement was in its infancy, I read a slogan that set the stage for the books and articles I write and the women’s retreats I lead around the country: “Teach a woman to read and you teach a family to read. Teach many women to read and society blossoms.” This slogan articulates the influence women have on the world, the light women can bring to all their endeavors, to any cause we turn our mind to. to our ability to birth a new day.

In this new day, in this era of chaos and challenge, how women respond, what role we each choose to play and what we become in its stead, can help society “blossom.” My desire, my passion, is to provide learning programs, books and articles that get women thinking about and talking about the BIG questions, the questions that can transform first themselves, and then society: What do I believe in? What are the core values I will build my life on and how do I integrate them into my daily life? What is my purpose? Where is my line in the sand?
