Solitary Sleep And all she wants is a coffin because the doll with the rose coloured purity can’t ingest the penetrating lashes and boiling acid and all she wants is a white satin solitary sleep no one would give it to her no one will give it to her she curses the moon that does nothing bit watch through the windows of her soul and she prays that the night would not steep in with the trusting of his invaded familiarity Well breathing deep opening too small too tight and I don’t have to tell you exactly how painful that is with fright and she neatly places herself with the clothes in her closest to be worn and folded and she hangs still imaging the day that the stain might just overpower him well living in shadows you know pain can’t face the glare and she goes on and on and on praying for that white satin solitary sleep that no one would give to her well living in shadows you know pain can’t face the glare and she goes on and on and on praying for that white satin solitary sleep that no one would give to her who knows maybe one day she just might survive who knows maybe one day she just might survive if she manages to stay alive. |
