White and Red

This painting puzzled me for a long time. Most of the time, I do not plan out my work, it is more like an image appears to me, I execute it and then I get to look at it and try to understand it. It might sound strange when people ask me about a painting “What is it about” my answer is “I don’t know yet”. But this is part of the mystery of the creative process and I am excited about having this mystery be part of my life. I exhibited “White and Red”, and while seeing it on the gallery wall I suddenly realized that the hot red on my hands and head were my creative tools being charged. Women have these amazing tools of our hands and minds to use to create hope and a strong future for ourselves, our children and families.
